Alcova Miami
Alcova Miami
The second international edition of Alcova takes place at Miami’s historic River Inn, the city’s oldest hotel, nestled in the vibrant South River Drive Historic District in East Little Havana, just steps from the Miami River. Riding the wave of its successful debut in Miami, Alcova remains committed to transforming remarkable, historically rich spaces into dynamic platforms for cutting-edge contemporary design.
Originally built in 1908 as a Victorian boarding house, River Inn is a cluster of pastel-colored timber mansions that have been attentively preserved in their historical condition. Now located in the heart of one of Miami’s most vibrant neighborhoods, the site blends historical charm with a location that can be conveniently reached from both Miami Beach and downtown.
As always, visitors to Alcova Miami 2024 can expect a carefully curated selection of groundbreaking work by designers from across the world. The event will feature exhibitions from both established and emerging designers, companies, institutions and collectives. As Alcova Miami approaches, further details about the program, participating designers, and specific installations will be shared.
